A quick stop on one of Derwent's many islands was a must at the weekend.
A Canoeing and Paddleboarding adventure quickly turned into island hopping and the grey, moody skies, were perfect for capturing trees in between seasons.
All three of the kids made it up the tree, but we waited for the girls to follow their brother's footsteps, and so this photo captures the moment they watch him and decide to go themselves.
The season was dramatically different just a few hundred metres down the lake, with leaves already forming.
The framing was trickier, but created a stunning effect through bright green leaves, as both kids and adults started to explore the fallen branches.
Well worth a visit!
